Oral Presentations

PPT, PPTX or PDF presentation will be accepted. You can arrive with your own computer but, for smooth processing of all presentations, we favor USB sticks (alternatively, you can send your presentation by email to meeting@lmo12.be). We’d like to have your presentation during the break that precedes your session at the very latest.

Parallel session presentations are expected to last 10 minutes, with 5 additional minutes for questions.

Plenary session presentations are expected to last 15 minutes, with 5 additional minutes for questions.

STIB (Metro, Tram, Bus)

Metro Lines are still not functioning 100% percent in Brussels (see http://www.stib-mivb.be/stations.html?l=fr for more information), but CERIA and GARE CENTRALE stations are open, allowing you to arrive at the CERIA campus for the opening session on Wednesday afternoon.

Metro line 1 & 5 from 7 AM until 7 PM: trains will stop in Merode, Schuman, Arts-Loi, Gare Centrale, De Brouckère, Comte de Flandre, Beekkant, Gare de l'Ouest (lines 1 and 5), Stockel, Crainhem, Alma, Roodebeek, Tomberg, Montgomery (line 1), Herrmann-Debroux, Delta, Petillon, Jacques Brel, Saint-Guidon, Bizet, CERIA et Erasme (line 5).

Metro line 2 & 6 from 7 AM until 7 PM: trains will stop in Elisabeth, Ribaucourt, Rogier, Botanique, Madou, Arts-Loi, Trône, Louise, Porte de Hal, Gare du Midi, Gare de l'Ouest, Beekkant, Simonis, Belgica, Bockstael, Stuyvenbergh et Roi Baudouin.

Tram 3-4-51 (32 after 8 PM): Trams will stop in Albert, Gare du Midi, Porte de Hal, Horta, De Brouckère, Rogier and Gare du Nord.

Tram 7-25: Trams will stop in the Montgomery and Diamant.

The access to the stations is however limited to the main entrance.

Aboveground, all the bus and trams lines are operated.

!!! Since metros do not circulate after 7pm, we are going to organize bus transfers to the city centre, after the welcome reception, from the CERIA campus to the city centre. Registration is not mandatory.

f you are planning to arrive by train, GARE DU MIDI station is also functional, and you should have no problems to reach us before 7pm. 


If you were planning to arrive by plane, please check if your plane is scheduled to arrive in Brussels Zaventem as expected and, if not, feel free to contact us to see how we can make you arrive on time to the CERIA campus.

Public transportations from the airport to the city centre is possible, but difficult due to alteration of the Zaventem train station.

The only possible public transportation to date is to take a De Lijn Bus from airport to Zaventem village, change bus to reach GARE DU NORD, Metro to CERIA/COOVI or BRUXELLES-CENTRAL, or by foot to your hotel in the city center.

If you are planning to arrive by car, send us your license plate number to that we can arrange for parking place in the campus on Wednesday.

Free Guided Tour

On Thursday, after the scientific sessions, a free walking tour will be organized, departing from the Palace of the Academies. You are invited to register before Thursday (April 14th) noon.


Security on the CERIA campus has been raised, and you may be asked to give your identity to access the campus. The guards will have the list of all LMO12 participants.
